Is it my imagination???
I never placed much stock in the break-in period (meaning I don’t believe the performance will improve that much after the break-in). But this is my first Benz so I treat it with care.
Guess what? After 1500 careful miles ( with the occasional carried away moments, of course) I was WOWED at the pick up speed this morning. 65 – 90 in a heart beat !!! AND with a nice Grrrrrr.... to go with it (in stead of the usual panting). Also the meter registered a 27.5 MPG for the first time ever . I think the C-Coupe can out run the E320 (more on that later).
It gets BETTER from here on, RIGHT ???
I checked out the links from other posts on the clear/smoked lenses replacement for the standard red lenses (you know the ones that light up when you hit the break). There were none. I really want to replace them. Too red and too cheap-looking ( some posts even compared it to the ones on the Dodge’s Neon ) A pair of clear /smoked lenses would look awesome on my Brilliant silver.

Give me a break, the C230 tail lamps look nothing like the Neon tail lamps. Over on www.csportcoupe.com forums there are some picks of smoked lights. They do look different from stock, but I don't care for the them. I would rather see a white stripe and closer resemblance to the C Sedan.

Wish you saw mine. It looks really cheap. The large midle area is not really red at all. It's pink and seems washed out. When it is facing the sun I can hardly tell if it blink when I pump that "lock" button.
