LED city lights??? Wow....thats interesting! I guess you will never give up in finding any possible LEDs for you car, huh?
I am using PIAA super white (or extreme white, I cant remember, PIAA got so many xxx white!!!), I think they're a nice match with the Xenon. Very white but with a little bluish here and there.

Are you an LED fanatic too!
Myself, I have close to 30 LEDs lighting my entire interior.
Outside my car, I have LED blinkers on my rear view mirrors!
Hearing that you may be able to get your city lights to use LEDs
is awesome. Keep at it bagwell.

Skidz,
how di dyou get LED's outside? If you are referring to the stock mirror blinkers, it is now proven that they are filament bulbs.
If you swapped for LED's please post details and pictures!
Thanks

Can't seem to remove bulb from socket!!!
Hi Everyone,
I've bought the Polarg M-4 Bulbs that everyone has mentioned to change out my city lights, however upon removing the plastic cap, disconnecting the wiring harness and then removing the metal spring pin and finally getting a hold of the bulb, I cannot remove the OEM bulb out of the base mount. Is there a trick to it or do I need new base mounts that the bulb goes into? As I look at the bottom of the base mount of the OEM bulb, it says 12V, 55W. Are these the specs of the current bulbs? If so, can I just pull out the current city light bulb from the socket or do I need to buy another base mount from somewhere. I'd like to figure out how to get these installed ASAP. Thanks in advance!!!
Benny

you just pull the stock bulb out of the light holder thing. Put in new bulb and put back on car.

City Light Rplacement Bulbs, Again, Please?
Having another mid-life crisis (albeit a 5-min. transient) and feeling a bit immature and frisky, I stopped by my neighborhood Pep-Boys last night looking for some Hyper Whites to replace the W5W City Lights in my sedan. (Yes, dudes and dudettes, this is a serious thread... offer all the abuse you want, I'm well adjusted and will cope...)
Anyway, "Manny" pointed me to the appropriate "rocket racer" aisle and their A1C brand, 194 LED bulb. Pt # 50.4072.B. I didn't buy it because of all the "load balancing" controversy on previous threads over LEDs, and a concern that the LED might be too "directional" within the City Light housing (I want it to fill with light, not just an intense point in the middle).
I searched all the previous threads for ref to this bulb, but no hits. (Note to self: "Thats odd. I thought Pep-Boys sponsored High-Rev Tuners?") Anybody with any experience with this bulb. I don't want any bulb fault codes with an LED. But I do want lots of bright light (bling, bling).

I am currently using PIAA Xtream White wedge bulb for the city light, they looks very good and works well with my HID.
I also got the PIAA LED wedge bulb, but I still can get it to work yet (error message and the LED is keep blinking). I think I need some kind of resistors in the wiring.
