Why does the blue reflect so much on the little bulbs when the lights are off? My car does that, only on the city lights though. All the other bulbs have blue filters on them too, but they don't show as much. My guess is how close the little one is to the reflector because it is such a small bulb.

drew, are you saying that you basically left the w5w bulb connected and just added the led bulb to the same circuit?

Yes, the pricing is reasonable for what you get. I like the results so much, BTW, that I ordered another pair for my clear corner side markers. From what I understand, these mini-wedge LEDs are available in other colours as well, such as amber, etc. So in effect, you can have a bulb which is clear when off behind the clear corner, but amber when on. This is similar to the amber LED signal bulbs that I have on my ML. In fact, I did something similar to my ML, but with two white LED snakes per lamp also from formymercedes.com
With turn signals flashing:

My bad, both the LED snakes and mini-wedge bulbs are on the site. I just didn't scroll down far enough!

I know somewhere in this forum there is at least one thread that tells how to remove the city light bulbs. I don't remember how it was done, since I haven't needed or wanted to do so.
As for your other question a search for "clear side markers" should give you many threads about that subject.

The city lights just pull right out. This is very easy to do on a coupe, but harder on a sedan. It's hard to get a good hold on them on the sedan. The high beam gets in the way.

Doesn't matter much because the LED throws an error to the display and won't light. Tried it - no go. Anyone figure this out? Is there a bulb with a built in resistor - I hate those 'load equalizers' that others have discussed.

I'm using the Razo 5w city lights bulbs, they are a bit to blue.
