Do the 6speed coupes ship with a real dead pedal or is it just the shaped body with carpeting over it?

My M3 had a nice solid dead pedal that I further upgraded with aluminum.

I'd like something similar on my coupe if only to protect the carpeting from stain.

I've scanned all the regular retailers that sell accessories but they don't seem to have anything. Please help.
