For you folks that are thinking about protecting the carpet in the dead pedal area. I've attached a drawing showing the dimensions I cut my mat to.

I used a scrap piece of cheap vinyl runner stuff that I got at Home Depot a while back.

FYI- millimeters on top, inch on bottom.
