Need your oppinion..
If I could get it all to come together, and if it wouldnt cost me an arm and a leg, what do you think, could it be done and if so would you all do it? Im guessing since alot of the work would have to be custom, it would probably cost around 20k or so.. Yes I know I could trade in and get a better car stock for that, but I like to have cutom rides =P
So what do you think? Possible? And if so would you do it?
P.S: The turbo I was thinking of Using would be probably from the Volkswagon Golf GTI or Jetta, whichever one is more readily avaliable, because if I am remmebering correctly, both have 4 cylinder 1.8l models with turbochargers.

Either way, goodluck.
if you really going to do it, good luck
i would trade in for c55
since they look pretty much the same other than wheels and rear bumper/exhaust

. But don't try it yourself.. just wait a little bit.
Think about this, You would have to get:
-Custom exhaust manifold
-turbo
-bigger fuel injectors
-bigger fuel pump
-some kind of fuel controller
-EGT gauge
-custom intercooler
-custom intercooler plumbing
-boost gauge
-custom oil return lines and coolant lines for the turbo
-A TON of labor
-Tunning on a dyno
With all that said, yea... not really worth the trouble.
If you think your C230 has good responsive and great handling, wait until you drive a C55!
So for what you want, just get a C55 - it's just naturally fast, no mods or anything.

I wouldnt like having a turbo exposed under my car. You need oil lines and coolant lines as well as a line from the boost controller to the wastegate actuator. I wouldnt want that stuff exposed to road debree and such.
As for a turbo, yes you can get one for a few hundred bucks. Maybe a 16g or something small.
think about this, you have a mercedes, why would you want to ghetto rig a turbo set up on a mercedes?
I have a friend who put a mutsubishi 20G on his 1997 M3. It was cool for a while but he said it wasnt worth the time and money he put into it. He had so much in that car.
No shop is going to do the tuning for free. There is not a big market for turboing MB cars. It wouldnt be worth their time and money.
I say, keep your car how it is. You will thank me when you go to sell it and dont have to part it out, find the old oem parts and try to sell a tired c230.
but if u really wanna do something awesome you should drop an E55 engine in the C230 haha. I know it wouldn't fit and all that power would probably destroy the car but it sure would be unique.
that would get u on mag covers!
