I've been thinking. Someone posted a screen shot of the Star computer showing on/off selections for auto-close, tunnel mode, etc. Also included was sunroof present selction. Now I can't find the damn picture.

Anyway, could the feature already be on the car and just disabled via the Star system (like the alarm chirp and others)?

this has been mentioned before in a thread about tunnel mode. I gave my car to a friend who use to be a mercedes tech. he took it somewhere and now my roof opens and closes by pressing the button on the a/c unit.

coupe. keep in mind though i;ve seen a few coupes with tunnel mode in the UK. those who think that tunnel mode cannot work without one touch have been misinformed.

Tunnel mode is one thing but, can you do one-touch close of the sunroof by pressing the sunroof close button on the overhead console? That's what we're really after.

no but logically the only difference between using the a/c unit to close the roof and using the upper console to close the roof is that you are reaching down instead of up.

...and the A/C unit closes the side windows along with the roof. I understand your point though.

I there may be a former MB tech near me that somehow still has access to the Star system. I'm going to call him and see if I can get some seat time on it and play around with the settings.
