I just realized something now... that quote on your sig won't apply to me getting smoked by you anymore!
well, you'll still smoke me when I go to the meets in the w203 though... 
another M3 owner actually came up to me today as I was walking into work (I was following his car into the structure when we parked) and started randomly talking to me about the M3. hopefully I'll get a good reaction from the ladies...

You're going to love this car! My buddy has an E46 M3 and the engine sounds amazing, and the new ones will give my 996 a run for it's money! You're better off getting your torque normally aspirated anyway, vs. twin turbo. I'll forgive the fact that it's an SMG if you post lots of pics!

DAYUM M3 VERT ftw! Congrats, I would LOVE a m3 vert(alpine white on cinnamon) as a 3rd/fun car but it is a bit too small for my family

Wow, so NAV, (auto or stick?)... You gotta post pics of the interior when you get a chance. It must feel MUUUUCH different from your Benz no? I mean I only have the ZHP and it feels mighty, I can only imagine the M3.
Westerchester BMW is the best in New York, let's see what they've got -- hey, it doesn't cost to inquire. But don't worry guys, I'm still true to my Benz.

It's SMG. I got H/K (I'm still not sure if the H/K on my C-Class sounds better or is the same), Nav, Lumbar, Cold Weather, BIX, forged 19's and it comes with BMW Assist and Bluetooth standard.
I'll post pics of it soon... I actually went to the parking structure to check on it and I opened up the hood and it's really really light compared to the w203 hood.
As for driving it, yeah, it is night and day between the C230... I have to just ease up on the throttle or else I get punched in my seat. it handles better in a way, but I also have wider tires on my C230 than on the M3. I thought at first the brakes would be inadequate b/c I thought they were tiny (12.6), but the brakes are amazing. Although the C230 has bigger rotors, the M3 hurts you when you slam or even just press hard on the brakes.
rlee, I'm not sure what I want to do, I gotta save money now b/c I spent so much on this... but we'll see I definitely am going to do the iPod/HD Radio integration when it comes out next week and then hardwire my V1. I was also thinking of getting the Vorsteiner CSL CF Splitters... we shall see...

M3? That's not a car, it's a disease! Comes with heated rear window, standard, to keep your hands warm when pushing it.
Now, seriously, it is a great car. Congraduations on picking a winner. I drive my inlaws M3, and it is wonderful fun.
Now **** up to Willow, take a couple of hot laps on the "Streets" and report back how long it takes to get the smile off your face.

well, I've had it for less than 24 hours and have already done my first mod... LED license plate lights, so my entire rear is LED. (the lights didn't work on my w203 but they worked on my e46!)
here are some more pics... they were hard to take b/c it was in a parking structure but you get the point...
