Help me decide?

Hey everyone,

I have a red 2007 C230 and I want to make some mods to it. I was thiking of starting off with a CL style grille, flat emblem, and clear corner marker lights, but can't decide if I should change the grille or not.

What do you guys/gals think in regards to the grille?

Also what other mods do you suggest?

Thanks a bunch,

Bruce

Do the 07's have the same grill as the C55?

I would go with a no emblem grill.

Well I'm not certain on a budget yet. I don't want to spend too much to begin with, but I also want some ideas so I can start planning my "plan of attack" so to speak. So at this point I'm open to all suggestions.

Was also reading about the Sprintbooster...sounds like a pretty neat device. Anyone have any experience or opinions about it?

Thanks again,

Bruce

Keep the OEM grill. How about some illuminated door sills and/or aluminum door pins/surrounds?

forget the CL grill, put that money into some H&R springs, lower it first off, second get a flat hood emblem, third get painted side markers. all should be a reasonable cost which = the best look IMO.

Go with the CL grille if you want tinted windows. I think that black on red looks awesome. some board member is going with that idea, cant recall the name right now though

I think that a CL-grille, clear corners, tint and wheels make such a big difference in the looks of your c-class.

If the car is black tint you sidemarkers, otherwise go with clear ones. Also, change the door pins. The CLK pins is the cheapest mod you can possibly do. They go for a buck a piece and perfectly match the black interior. Or aluminum pins... just get rid of those ugly mushrooms

Is this the grille you are referring too?

WOW...thanks for all the great suggestions guys!!!

Forgot to mention I got my first upgrade which is the Ipod integration kit. I'm going to have Best Buy install it this week...they said they would do it for $49.99. That's a lot better than the $300+ the MB dealer charges.

Still not 100% sure what I want to do with the grille. Guess I need to try to play with photoshop and see what it looks like.

Flat hood emblem, clear or color corner markers, door pins, and springs all sound like good places to start.

Where's a good place to purchase everything at?

I've been to www.formymercedes.com, but they don't carry everything. Seen stuff on eBay, but don't know which sellers have the quality stuff because I sure don't want to be spending money on some rinky dink garbage.

Dig through your coin jar and pull out about $50 and go down to your local muffler shop for the Resonator Delete. I did this today and love the new growl the engine emits. It only took about 30 minutes.

Cheapest, quickest, reversable mod you can do.

A box on 4 wheels
I would take out the idea of clear corners, simply because in the end you will want Euro Impact Strips. Flat hood emblem is a great way to start of your modding, its a $20-$30 mod that makes your front significantly different. Then the next 2 mods you can look at would be tinting, if not done already (some people don't even consider this as a mod anymore) and a set of springs to drop the height.
