Does anyone in the NY/NJ area have any personal experience with Kleemann Engine Performance Kits for the W203? I would like some insights, please.

It's quite easy, you take $990 and multiply it by 2.

Just messing.

I am so glad my post allowed you guys to have such fun....thanks for the input on Renntech.....question: do you guys think these pulley kits add any noticable torque?

I figured i'd post it here since this seems the most relevant thread i could find.

I was loking at Kleemann's Performance kits.

http://www.kleemann.dk/site/Main/per...erformancekits

On their page, the have the table below.

My question is which engine is mine?

My car is a 200k c230 kompressor sport sedan. I've only known the engine as M217, but they have 2 listed below.

I think i may have found part of my answer here

http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=10403

Here is a summary of what i found on that thread.

Regarding the M271 series engines.

C180K, C200K and C230K differ in the following ways
---------------------------------------------------
- piston
- supercharger (only 2 models - one for 230K and one for others.
- ECU (engine control unit)
- Some differences in intercooler and hoses are possible with year of build.

= 140Kw in total without pulley mods

RESULT
--------
In some cases that means 20-40Kw improvement.

CAVEAT
--------
This mod uses only MB parts and should only be done with informed risk and has no implied warranty.

180k and 200k are identical, it's just the software in the ECU that limits the output (and maybe a pulley for the SC). That's why they are called internally m271 and m271red (red for reduced output)
THe 230k engine is called m271evo and has the different pistons etc.
