Where's the MAF on a 3.2L engine?

I've searched the forums for hours to find a picture, but can't kind any. Does anyone have a picture of the location of the MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) on the 3.2L engine? A good verbal description on how to find it would also be appreciated.

Start by removing the large plastic cover over the top of the engine.
It looks like a section of the intake air (black plastic) tubing with a wiring connection on it. I think it was somewhere on the top center of the cylinder bank.
It took the mechanic all of 10 minutes to change it out.
Sorry no pics.

Just remove the air box and you will see it behind between the engine and the firewall. It sits right in the middle (from left to right) of the cylinder banks.

Thanks fellas, I'll check in out. She needs a Buellwinkle method cleaning with the CRC spray product.

i thought you were suppose to soak the sensor in true green, straight, then dip it in rubbing alcohol? What is the CRC Spray?

There are many home remedies but for $6 I put my money on a huge size can of CRC MAF Sensor Cleaner, probably last a lifetime of MAF cleanings. It comes out as a very strong stream. I would avoid something that is caustic or may leave a residue. A good alternative is Tuner Cleaner from an electronic supply store like Rat Shack but why pay more for a smaller can.

Bob, did you find that MAF yet? I helped someone change it a while back on his older E320 with the straight 6 but it was right there, no fancy cover like the newer motors. Those covers take a little effort, large clips and then all the ugly stuff is still there.

Here's a pic of yours, it's $258 at Autohausaz.com. Remember, only the rest of the world calls it a MAF, MB calls it an Air Mass Meter. It looks like the older Bosch unit, just get a security torx bit and remove the two screws and pull the insert out, then clean the heck out of the tip where the gold wire is. Looks like it uses a hose clamp on one end, and 2 clips on the other, those clips sort of lever out, easy once you look at them.
