performance w/ 104 octane unleaded sunoco...?
Hi,
I know c230k coupe have the ability to adapt to different quality of gasoline but anyone tried and got actual better performance w/ 104 octane unleaded Sunoco? If you've never seen it its kinda cool (the fuel is actually blue) but cost about $5 a gallon.

I don't think it will help. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but, unless there is an ignition advance higher octane wont do anything right? Except make your wallet lighter. It "could" make the car run smoother, but I doubt you have more power.

It will do absolutely nothing for you. Higher octane gas is more resistant to detonation than lower octane gas but does not give you more horsepower. Our cars do not need anything better than 91 or 93 depending on which is available in your area. Using anything else is a waste of money.

In the case of a C32, I put 2 bottles of Octane 104 in my car about 6 months ago and it did absolutely nothing. I will never buy it again. However, I always throw in a couple bottles of Octane 104 on my ex-CLK430, that MADE A HUGE difference!!!! I think Octane 104 doesnt work on Kompressor engines.
