Mercedes Styling Crapfest continues
In case youre not completely convinced that MB has done a complete 180 in its styling department, after the overweight, flabby looking new CL, obnoxious new S, or the distinctively asian looking new C Class, check this out. Its the "Ocean Drive", a four seat convertible suposedly based on the S class. Puke city. Slap a different badge and grille on this turkey, and it could be anyone's luxo barge. I'd say the look is decidely 70's disco chrysler.
I say supposedly, because the blister fenders of the S have given way to a more CLS looking body line crease. Best part of the car, at any rate. MB, bring back Bruno! Even Bangle could do better than this crap.

Yuck! I hate this gravitation towards the big, chunky body style brought on recently. Chrystler 300C, those tank Lexuses, Bangle BMWs and now Mercedes--- new C class and CL are terribly asian looking
There is no CLASS in these pimped out tanks... I am starting to prefer the look of AUDI and VW over recent Asian and German car trends...

The Chrysler-ization of Mercedes-Benz.
That's a shame....a downright, ugly azzed shame.
What happened?
Why do these recent cars look like scheiße?

With the top up, it has a distinctively old school cadillac look, complete with a landau "fake convertible" roof.
Top down, I see (read in your best Ricardo Montalban accent) Chrysler Cordoba for 1981 with Korinthian Leather, and that light treatment reminds me of the boxy Ford Tbird for some reason. Ick.
80's chrysler crap cues
Oh yeah, a little of every bad Chrysler thrown in.
MB needs to can its new head of styling...the only thing he seems really passionate about is flat/satin finishes on wood.

Jeesh, the guy driving is wearing gradient sunglasses and has his hair slicked back. Probably has a bent nose as well. His name is "Tony".
Mod, absolutely mod - ummm, maybe a bit more disco.
Only one word describes this abortion: Clusterf***.
Why, oh why can't ANYBODY design a vert as timelessly beautiful as the Studebaker Avanti ?? They hauled *** too with a supercharged 289 V8 - ... (had one, can't BELIEVE I sold it)
And remember guys, this car was designed ALMOST 50 years ago...
