Headlights Question!
I know that on new cars now, the daytime running lights are on whenever the car's turned on.
When I put the switch to auto mode, the low beams will turn on when the sensor senses it's dark outside.
However, last nite I forgot to switch to auto mode. I left the switch in the OFF mode and guess what? The low beams went on when it sensed darkness.
Why is that? What's the point of having auto mode? Anyone with this same problem?

The point of having the switch in the AUTO position, even with DRL, is that when it gets dark the rest of your lights (instrument panel, tail, side marker, license plate) will go on, something that is preferable to simply having the DRLs only (i.e. low beam).

Check your vehicle menu controller, using your sterring wheel button to acces it, you should find your headlight circuit as a constant or the other thing (i forget). if constant then it will on no matter what. BTW does it on at daytime ??
