Thanks for the info. I'm really not concerned too much about increasing HP. I don't want it to be loud at all, which is why i'm really looking into a C32 muffler. If i were to buy a new C32 muffler, would it bolt on or would it have to be welded? Anyone know if the piping is the same? I'm guessing it may be since it's somewhat the same engine.
A good muffler shop should be able to fabricate a bolt harness on or weld it. I'm not sure if the piping is the same though. I'd assume so, but I hate assuming.

I heard MJ50's clips. It sounds bit loud, but that camera is right by the muffler so i'm sure that plays a part. I like the quiet cabin and i'd like it to say close to how it is. The remus is the quietest i've heard besides the AMG though.

I'm new to this forum. I would like to know if anyone out there has info on a comparison between a Remus cat-back system and a Eisenman exhaust. I am about to buy a Remus cat back (muffler plus resonator) for my 05 C230K, but all the talking in the forum about the Eisenmann has make me curious. As far as looks, they are about the same. How about performance and sound????
I like the Remus muffler a lot...
I get a nice low rumble at idle.
From inside the car I don't hear it that much...
but say driving through a tunnel when it's echoing off the walls, yeh, it's
definitely louder, but no much as to be irritating, which I am thankful for.
The benz has a lot of sound deadening material....if you can hear a noticeable difference from inside the car, likely it's hella loud outside.
I notice when I floor it, people notice me...which is a good thing!
They hear me coming, get outta the way, vs. stock, they didn't notice, and would pull out in from while I was accelerating.
So, actually it makes the car safer! Ha!
With the jet engine sound coming from the front of the car (ASP increases it)
and exhaust sound from the rear....yeh it's as loud as I want it to be...
still, it'd be fun to take off the SC muffler one of these days....
I'm going to mount a mic and record it while driving...ha!!!
