Speaking of flat hood emblems.......I actually got one, but was disappointed to see it was PLASTIC???
When I installed it, one of the plastic pointed stars got dented in by accident, so I ended up putting my hood-ornament back on.
Are there any flat hood emblems that are actually, dare I ask, MADE OF HIGH QUALITY METAL????

Sucks about the hood ornament. Terrence is right, the flat hood ones (like on a Sportcoupe) are less likely to be stolen... however, it could also mean that a jackass could take a screwdriver to your hood in an attempt to pry it off... 
Got my trunk badge broken off (failed theft) in Chinatown Vancouver, the damn thing on the back is PLASTIC!
Good thing they didn't scratch the paint.
My mom took it back to the dealer and yelled at the SA for installing a "defective star" on the car, they replaced it for free (gotta love Chinese moms
)

By the way M230k, the flat hood emblem looks really nice and you can see how it looks in my sig since our cars are basically the same :p However, if someone decide to use a flat head screw driver to take it out, then we better pray that they won't **** up the paint on the hood. Oh well... just park somewhere safer next time I guess
