i knew it was gona happen..
so i was at my cousins work party at a banquet hall, i parked my car in the front so the "security" guards can see it clearly.. when the party was over, around 1am, i come outside and my starhood emblem was ripped out

sorry to hear. this is why i prefer the flat hood emblem over the star. i think it looks 10X better too but the risk of some jack *** coming along and ripping it off is too great.

Speaking of flat hood emblems.......I actually got one, but was disappointed to see it was PLASTIC???
When I installed it, one of the plastic pointed stars got dented in by accident, so I ended up putting my hood-ornament back on.
Are there any flat hood emblems that are actually, dare I ask, MADE OF HIGH QUALITY METAL????

i have the affalterbach AMG one, it sits in the recess of the hood and is all metal, the white star one is all metal as well, its a bit more costly but looks very nice. its basically the original star with the star removed and filled with a white star logo and print, prolly the best fitting, b/c its pretty much a modified oem part.
