Is that an audio jack in the glovebox?

I was shuffling my cd's in the 6 disc and I saw what looks like an audio jack on the side of the glove compartment. Is that an auxilary input for an mp3 player?

If you have the COMAND system, push the SVC button and scroll to AUX. Plug in the double-male audio connector (that you will buy at Radio Shack for about $5) and you are good to go with your MP3 player or iPod.

Why? I have it in my '02 Coupe. Thanks to MBenzNL, I have a COMAND and the Aux input. Works great!

Mine has been great, straight from the factory. Plug and Play. What's your beef with the 02?

Man you guys are cruel, teasing the poor guy with something that only works on an 2005+. It's simple, just get a Comand Nav and you'll have aux, that's all I had to do.

For something low quality like a sat radio it won't make much of a difference over a good hard wired FM modulator (they are not all the same). Heck, I have sat radio built into my wife's factory radio and it's still mediocore compared to FM but in a Wrangler, once you get moving it doesn't matter.

For an iPod, it makes a slight difference, for example, if you can't tell the difference on the road between 128k and 192k MP3's then you won't be able to tell between the FM mod and aux-in.

actually it was the 2004.5 +

my wife's 2004.5 C320 SS came with the aux input.

Again, my 2002 (with factory installed COMAND) has the jack in the glove box already.
