Custom Intercooler Done!!!!
Hi guys here the intercooler pics that i promised. This IC is 4" thick with original lenght and slightly taller than stock. Mirror like finish. Require no cutting, a perfrctfit for my Kleemann front. Performance gain is quite a lot actually. I didn't have a dyno run but i did tried 0 to 60 and cutdown my time by 0.2 sec. The power gain is definetly noticable.

Looks FAWKING hot! I see that the inlet/outlet matches the stock piping.
What are you asking for this? Has it been dyno'd? Sheez, where do I put my deposit!!! I can feel Drex breathing down my neck....

sorry guys no dyno yet but believe me i felt the difference right away. The engine breath better (louder intake sounds) and the power gain is just amazing. At first i thought that power gain should be minimal, but this proves that my stock intercooler is very restrictive and poor cooling.
I got this done in Thailand, so I dont think I can hook you guys up. And the guy who make this doesn't speak any english.

BTW it cost me 16000 Baht or about 400 USD installed. Paid extra 80USD for high boost race clamps and 4 layer silicone hose. You can have local intercooler warehouse to fix one for you using spearco bar and plate design.

Again, nice piece. I don't see any differance in the clamps, nor the hose. Recall, I was just looking at this stuff today.

Sorry again about this - Drex already has plans for an intercooler upgrade

The specs is just like the original except for the thickness. The original I believe is 2.5 this one increase to maximum 4 inch thickness. The length remain same to ensure proper fitting to orginal piping. However, the opening is enlarge to 3" while the stock is 2.5" so you gonna need the high grade silicon hose that connects the 3" openings to the stock 2.5"piping. Thats about it. A spearco core should do the job for you guys and make sure to measure it first wether it fits your front bumper or not. I believe on AMG bumper is a tight fit.

Haha, like this hasn't been done on the W203 years ago... Actually looks sloppy, too many welds and the way the square end cap goes into the round tubing doesn't look efficient. Did you put a boost guage on it, before and after?

Props for doing it. I'd be curious to see what your dyno comes out at. Post it up when you do it. Did you do a stock dyno for reference?

It's just a muffler. Since Kleeman doesn't offer a cat-back system for anything except the C55, did you get custom piping done or is it still the stock pipes? If so, the piping is less than 3" for sure.
