My bix constantly stays on
I recently noticed that my BIX turn on automaticly when I turn on the car. It could be broad daylight and they still turn on. The switch is turned off and the lights remain on, also when I turn to the city light with fog lights they are still on. Also, in night time when the switch is turned off the light turn on.

I am 100% sure that I dont leave the swith in Automatic.

What could be causing this?

Sounds like the light sensor is bad. It senses whether it is dark or light outside. It may even cause it to do that if it's not set to auto on the switch. Is there an option on the dash display menus for auto-on lights?

if you are in the US they shouldnt be on when there is day light and if it is on "off". i know in canada we have no choice, they turn on when the car is on. its the law to have day time light running here. maybe your car is from canada? =P just a thought.

Nope, the lights come on during the day even if your dial is set to 0. For halogens the bulbs run at half-intensity for DRL, for HIDs it's on full strength even during the day.

US-spec cars can turn those DRLs off, but we Canadians have better bumpers on our cars

It has to do with changing the Country code from Canada to USA. Just like how if you switch the car to Netherlands the car will chirp when you lock/unlock the car. (provided you have the alarm option)
