Black Pearl Emblems

I am going to have my rear emblems (except the star) done in black pearl to match the Black car. I was wondering if anyone knows where to have this done? I have located one place in CLeveland, OH that will do it I have included the link below. GoldTouchinc

MB dealer quoted $31.86 for C230 emblem
$39.53 for Kompressor emblem

Gold Touch said approx $50-$75 once they see the emblems with a 4 day turn around.

ummm...you might re-think this...

The star on the grille, tailgate and wheels of the coupe are plastic, not metal. I haven't removed the C230K or Kompressor emblems....so I can't confirm that....yet.

When I rook delivery of my car, I noticed the rear star on the hatch was loose. The service technician pushed it back in place, an I heard the definitive "snap" of pressure fitted plastic clips.

I spoke with the dealer a few minutes ago. They said the C emblem and the Kompressor emblem are adhesive I didn't inquire about the star. I am only having the rear ones done.

Hmm not sure.

My only modification will be changing the grille to flat black. The stock silver just looks too funky with the Orion paint.

The new grille w/star was $92.00, the flat black imron paint was $4 for the pint...the look on the dealers face....priceless!

I have a magma red C240K and used "blackout tape" to do the front grill (not the chrome) and it looks great. Have used before to cover chrome and it last and when you sell, can peel off and it's back to orginial.

C320 Sport

I have a black C320 sedan...

I was thinking of doing the same to my emblems and maybe removing the C320 altogether. Btw, please post pics if you have this done, thanks. Btw, what kind of paint do you use to paint the grill black? Can I just spray paint it?
