Mercedes
I think that car is actually the same as C230K that has 1.8 liter in US (i think start in 2005 till 2006, before MB put the V6 on a C230). I just dont know why MB want to put C230K instead C180K. If I want to guess probably because of MB is afraid that American will not like it since it has small engine...just my guess here.

2019 C300 Wagon; '75 Triumph TR6; previous: 2004 C230 6spd sold after 17 years of driving
If you look on MB Australia website it lists the specs of the engine. Although it has the same base 1.8L engine block, it has significantly less power than the C230k that we all know in Canada and US.

The 180K has 105kW of power which is equal to 143BHP 0-60time of 9.7/9.9 manual/auto

They also have a 200K and that has 120kW and again is down on horsepower with 163HP 0-60 9.1/9.4

These engines are a far cry from the 189hp that we got in 03-05

MB
The 180 and 230 are basically the same car/engine but with less hp output. Not sure what MB did to M271 though. In Europe they sell both models. But hey, additional $59,000? WTF? For the price you may just get a E55. Or this is AU $?
