Having some issues...Post STFF questions
Today after class, i go to the car, and notice the outside temp is showing 98 degrees. It was in the mid 80s outside though. I attempt to start the car as normal and get a loud grinding noise and let go immediately. I remove the key from the ignition, repeat the process, and it happens again. The third time it worked as normal. I looked back at the outside temp and it read 84 degrees, which was about right. I don't know whether or not the temp issue had anything to do with the starting issue or not. The starting issue has happened before though, but it is very rare. Anyone know what could be the cause?
Since i bought the car i've been having the "Coolant Visit Workshop" message popping up on the screen periodically, i'd say 3:5 times that i drive it. The car is not overheating and the levels are correct. I hear the fan come on but it shuts off almost right after, but that's just when i hear it, which is when i pull into the garage, i'm not sure about normal driving. I'm not sure where or which sensor it is, and where to get it.
Lastly, yesterday i got some x-drilled/slotted rotors installed that i purchased off of ebay from a company called R1Concepts. The have sold almost 10k sets of rotors with excellent feedback. I probably should've went with stoptech or brembo but i didn't. Anyway, after having them installed, the steering wheel and the car vibrates when i hit the brakes. It's noticeable when stopping from say 50mph, but its only noticed when you get down to 30-0. The guy at the shop says he thinks they are warped. Anyone ever heard of new rotors being warped? I've got new pads installed as well, EBC in front and OEM in rear.
