Tele-Aid option; buttons questions

I'm wondering what happens with the Tele Aid buttons if you opt not get Tele-Aid on a 2003 C-class. (Tele Aid is now optional for the 2003's.)

For example, does the SOS button from the overhead console now get covered with a blank? I'm not so worried about the "i" and wrench buttons, because I believe they're covered by the arm rest cover in the center console.

Any pictures of the overhead console without Tele-Aid? Has anyone seen a 2003 C-class without Tele-Aid? I'm trying to decide whether to get this option.

It was optional on the 2002's also, I do not have tele-aid on my C230 and there is a blank identical to the one on the other side.

Teleaid was standard on C sedans and wagons for 2002.

If you don't want Tele-Aid and you don't want the blank cover I am sure you could order the cover with phone on it. Every part can be ordered.

Will the "SOS" button still work in an emergency even if I cancelled my Tele-Aid?

No. You must have Tele-Aid activated for the SOS button to work.
