Are you telling me the 2005 3.2L is restricted to 5,000 rpm? Or that it is restricted to 5,000 rpm when at a standstill (not in gear)? I'll admit I've had no reason to rev it that high sitting still in the driveway.
The 3.2L is a pretty ubiquotous engine, used in practically every MB chassis (in Europe) through 2005. So there's nothing special about it. Not trying to argue. I'm just trying to understand.

Nick, Jose,
I guess you guys don't have the dyno charts for the C230 M271 yet otherwise you would have posted them, but out of your experience can you estimate the gains could be roghly the same 20 hps at 6000 rpms? Or it would be more like 10-12 throughout the entire range?

We are located in the South Bay near Saratoga however, we don't have a retail location at this time. We are in the process of opening up our new facility this spring.

No, it's pretty easy. You just have to have to stop your windshield washer arms halfway, so that they're pointing straight up, to access your ecu. Then it's just unplugging harnesses, and you're done - piece of cake.

The only real problem I've had is that is with my clamshell (the two pieces of metal that come together to encase the ecu), the closing tabs are starting to come apart. Now, I've got a 2002, so they may have changed how the clamshells come together (VWs use screws, like a normal company would), but that's an issue - I'm probably going to have to get a new clamshell if I do any more ecu tuning.
That also means that after you open it up, it's very hard to get the ecu package to look virginal again, which might be an issue for those still under warranty, if that's a concern.
EDIT: Nick, also you should fix your link in your siggy - the "http://" is listed twice, which is leading to an error.

It appears difficult to get 25 people all setup. If you want immediate gratification, we are running a 10% off special on Speed Innovation software.
