Change Bulbs - References? Xenon look quality?

Hi,

1 - I look for the different references of the front bulb.
Who knwos the references of the "secondary" lights (I know that the main are H7
and the Fog are 9006). Do you know also the references of the rear?

2 - Anybody tried to put "Xenon look", I think for the fog and the secondary it'll cause no problem, but for the main one I'm afraid to make it too blue (too fake) if you have any brand or so. I think there's different quality.

This one seems to have good reputation http://cgi.befr.ebay.be/ws/eBayISAPI...m=150081186314

please let me know...
Thanks

the only thing you can do to get that HID look is to buy Syvania bulbs (excuse my spelling) OR just straight up save for a new HID kit. All these bulbs sure look nice in pictures but the real deal is that they only produce the colour but without the performance. so if you want to see where your driving at night i suggest you stick with the stock bulbs or Syvania (i dont know how to spell it sorry) OR just go out and buy a HID kit

I like the silvania silverstar's myself, but with the fogs it was $90 for high beam, low beam, fog, city, and turn. I got the top of the line everything however, I'm still curious as to the reaction with the combination of these bulbs and the projectors from depo ebay, its known that they are way out of focus, but I'm curious if that is to the fact of hid use rather than halogen which is recomended. I would think the HID's would melt the cheap units, b/c the part where the bulb goes is a dark metal probably not treated aluminum which is light but conducts thermal transfer quite well, and would probably melt the housing. I think someone here has experienced this problem. Will the silverstar halogens have the same problem because they are a brighter output? I noticed a huge difference when I switched, and sometimes I even get flashed for using the low beams while driving on peaks of hills.

omg. this happens every few days.

XENON LOOK. get xenon.
HID LOOK. get hids

there clean, simple.

no matter how "cool" the halogens are, they are still halogens.

its still a halogen look. just diff color.

Thanks for your reply.
I think I'll not change the main one, but only the fog and the secondary.
There's a difference between HID and Xenon. I htought that HID was a part of the xenon technic.
I'll take a look and see where I can find some silvania bulbs in Belgium.

What are the references of the rear bulbs?

Thanks

Very intersting link but the links to compare Bulbs vs OEM are broken...

There's the same bulbs in the face-lift version than the previous one?

Thanks for your help

well, if you search up reviews from Bi-Xenon and HIDs. I can tell you this.

I have both. Bi-X in the W163/W211, and HIDS on the W203.

The HIDS seem brighter and clearer, more "crisp" and clean look inside the cabin. but Bi-X shoot furthur, and also gives you a sexy bi-x look with the W203. (the W163 and W211 no diff)

BUT if you want to go for just standard halogens. I can give you a few that I do like.

Philips Diamond Vision 5500k (ones that I had previous to HID) about $60
Street Glow, 4500k about $20-25
Luminics Bulbs, 5500k titanium white (I have them as fogs) about $30
Nokya Bulbs, about $20-25, (they're ok)

if you want HIDs, I suggest you hold your breath and get it. b/c the about of bulbs you will eventually get would cost you a HID kit.

Ok thanks and what do you think about
- philips x-treme power
- Sylvania (osram) silverstar

What "B/C" mean (I'm french!)?

Does the HID kit is easy to put on a w203? Is it esay to remove it?
The computer will not notice a problem?

Because it's a company and adding accesories is normaly not allowed...

I think you should go with halogens then. b/c (because) HID kits (some) require dealers to set your car to "xenon" present.

also, you wont be able to put the DUST CAPS back on the lights if you have HIDS, you would need to do a minor customization.

I never heard of philips x-treme power.

I think the best way for you to go is. STREETGLOW H7 4500k. $20USD, it cant go wrong!
