01 C320 Key problem

I have a 01 C320. What will happen is it will lose key code. When I shut the car off the car will not lock by remote. Stick key back in ignition and turn of for 30 seconds and turn off then car will lock. Sometime it will work after one try. Other times it may take 3 or 4 trys. Any Ideas?

What is the proper way to open up the fobs to replace the batteries? My wife's is doing the same thing above and she got the updated keys back in late 02 or early 03. I can't remember when exactly.

Hold the fob so you are looking at the end of the door key, remove door key and you'll see a release beneath where it was, use the door key to push in on the release and pull up on section that has the door key release button on it. It takes two batteries.

Same here. Guess no one knows what the problem is. The dealer cant figure it out either. If you hear anything please share and I will do the same.

ok guys try this. stand by your car about five feet away, press and hold both buttons at the same time ( unlock and lock) while pointing the remote at the car.....by this time the carc blinkers will blink a few times after it does this go inside and start the car and let it run a little while. after this go back outside and try to arm the car and see what happens. goodluck
