I read in euroTuner that a marone C240 with a carbon fiber hood had a high flow cat, and headers. Who makes High flow cats and headers for a C240? I wonder what the HP gain must be when running headers. I know supersprint headers for the W202 Kompressor was giving it 20-25 HP. I dont know about the C240 though. Let me know, I would consider doing that.

verb04... maroon c240? carbon fiber hood? sounds like me... but i'm sure i'm not in eurotuner... and i'm damn sure i don't have headers or a highflow cat... but i'd like to get some. There might be a guy that makes custom headers down here in miami... i know he has made other custom exhaust parts for other cars... as for a highflow cat... we can probably get a universal one and have it welded on... i'm pretty sure it wouldn't hurt... anyways, what issue of eurotuner did you see that in?

Supersprint makes headers for all of the M111 motors. For the W203 this includes the C180, C200 sedans and all of the CL203 coupes. Sorry, no headers for the V6 sedans yet.

I know supersprint has the headers for our coupe, I can get it form the local dealer, but i am still wondering is it worth to spend $800 to gain 5-8hp....since no one has dyno with the superspint header in our car yet!

HP gained depends on how well designed the original exhaust manifold is. I've seen dyno tests where aftermarket headers gave very little power increase because the manufacturer's exhaust manifold was well designed (I think it was an Acura Integra TypeR), while on other cars I've seen gains of 15-20%. If the Supersprint headers give a 20-25 hp gain this is about 10% of the stock HP (which is probably about average for a good set of headers). My guess is that the Mercedes exhaust is probably pretty well designed, so the gain is probably less than 10%.

I called Bekkers a while back when I had my W202 C230K and they said that the Supersprint headers gave 20-25 HP. And they were on sale for about 650.00. Ive never seen any for the W203's though. I would have bought them but, I only had the car for 6 more months.
