Arrrg!!!
Well today my wife comes home and tells me she "nicked" the front wheel a "tad". I went out to look and the front passenger's wheel is scraped up 1/2 way around it's circumference. The scraped area extends from the rim to about 1 inch in. It's bad, really bad.
She was parking along a curb when she "bumped" it.
This car is my baby and it has, until now, not a single scratch on it!
This will drive me crazy until I replace the wheel. Anyone know where I can find a new OEM wheel (2006 C280) other than from MB? I've looked on ebay and found nothing.

why would you consider buying a new one when you can have the damaged wheel fixed? you would be surprised what they can fix. i had my rear wheel curbed at 50km/hr while making a sharp right turn and it cost me $150 to fix. the damage was fairly severe. do you have any pics of the wheel? post it so we can see how bad it really is.

And if it's not that severe... and you are a DIY guy like me... buy a can of Wurth Silver Paint and try to repair it yourself. I've done it before after my wife curbed the wheel on our BMW X5 and it turned out great! Here is a site with step-by-step instructions. Good luck.

Now you have good excuse to get new set of wheels ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
But i agree with 14cue, getting the wheel repair will be cheaper than getting a new individual wheel.

Repaired!
That's a great idea. I never even thought about having it repaired. Are there places that specialize in this or is this something that most body shops can do?
I prefer to stick with the stock wheels & tires since my tires are Michilens and are nearly new and other than this wheel, the rest are in perfect shape. Plus, I really like the look of the wheels.
Once again, this forum comes to the rescue!!!

I took a look at how to fix a wheel yourself. My wheel has similar damage except that it's deeper, goes 1/2 way around the wheel and extends up from the tire about 1 inch.
