Headers, 3" pipe to an OEM exhaust would definitely yield significant increases..... Stealth is nice too....

^Merci beaucoup. I was sure that there would be no gain in resonator deletion other than maybe a 1HP through minor backpressure reduction.

Mercus - No offense, but what the hell are you doing with a C230?? I mean, on one hand you're driving a $90K car (the SL500) and then a car 1/3 the price, just curious - I thought as a sedan you'd drive something more... I don't 'SL-like', even if you liked the C-Class, at minimum a C55.
Just curious, it's a big variation in car selection - one of the most expensive Benz and the most affordable, that's why I ask.

The C230 is paid for by the company I work for, the most car I could fit into my monthly car allowance. Plus, it's much better than a BMW 330 (I hate the way they look, damned ugly), gets great mileage and has the 7-speed.
The SL500 is still in Cali (I'm going to wait until summer to ship it here) and will never be driven in the snow....

Actually, the SL500 was $114,000 when I bought it (first year) and it is paid for with only 37,000 miles on it.

Oh and I'll correct what you said: "Plus, it's much better than a BMW 330", actually a C230 isn't better than a BMW 330 in any category, except the one that varies from person to person: looks, but then beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
You must miss your SL a lot! (Performance and status wise).

Oh okay. Wow, $114K for a SL500, that's a lot for the 500, perhaps you got a lot of options.

I do miss the SL though. With its ported and polished heads and intake, it accelerates like a God. Handling is incredible and the look is perfect. It's a keeper. I will likely never get rid of it. BTW, it was so expensive because it was the first year offered and the demand was through the roof. Many paid over $125,000 (Newport Beach FJ Motorcars sells more Mercedes than anyone in the world) just to get it. I was lucky because my family had purchased so many cars from there over the years (my dad had an AMG Hammer in the 80s) so I paid only slightly more than the asking price. All options for sure too.

Also while I was there I went to club 737, it's on top of a skyscraper supposedly the highest building in the city and it had beautiful 360 degree views. And Hurley's Irish Pub was a really good time also!
