LOL...Always do, bro, but it'll still be worth it to have it added.

Steve thought mine wouldn't be able to have it either, but was surprised when he checked and the option was available for my car through his Star Diagnose.

I wonder if there is a difference between the '05-Present vs. '01-'04.5. As soon as my tire dipped significantly lower than all the other tires (psi), the warning came up.

The 100% was actually referring to the "gallons of fuel remaining" coding mod Steve added. I don't have a way of independently testing how accurate it is, but it seems pretty darn useful so far. I wonder how low your tire pressure actually was with the nail in it. My tire pressure sensor went off today while driving to work. I pulled over and checked, only to find out the dummie who patched my tire inflated it to almost 50 PSI!!! I let air out, and reset the sensor. It works for not enough air and too much air...I'm a happy camper.

oh, oops! I think the fuel gallon thing is accurate to approximately .2 gallons, the thing fluctuates and only moves by increments of .2. but, I think it's pretty accurate by how much it tells you and how much it takes to get a full tank 16.4 gallons.

that's pretty cool, for too much and too little air! I'm not sure how much air it lost, it looked like a small nail to me.

I think that you might not have lost much air with the nail in your tire, Phil. The nail was most likely keeping the air in, so no slow leak. The nail that was in my tire was huge, so it spread the rubber just enough to have a slow leak. Through a whole day, it was fine, but by the end of the day it brought the tire 10 psi lower than the rest. Just keep in mind that it doesn't identify objects that are obstructing the tire, just the tire pressure, so I'm thinking that's what happened with your situation.

Russell, if dr. sunman can hook it up for you, it'll be one of the best star diag. add-ons you can get. You should also get the gas tank volume if you don't already have it.

Wish I could help you with that, but all I know is Steve went through menus in his special Star Diag. and added what I asked for.

PM Sunman and see if he can give you the step-by-step menus in Star Diag. that you can bring to the dealer.

Have the dealer look for the "loss warner/warning". That should get you there.

It ended up being the seal on my 3-piece wheel (got damaged getting the cheap *** Falken tires off). Drove down to I-forged and got it resealed (great customer service ); now everything is great!

THANK YOU Active Tire Pressure Monitor [/QUOTE]

.........& there was I singing Falken's praise!

Tire Pressure Monitor!

Hey Folks,

Sorry but I need some info. I did search the forum and found some stuff but nothing that gave me a concrete answer especially pertaining to the 07 W203
Does the 07 W203 have a Tire Pressure Monitor that will interfere with me putting after market wheels on for the winter. I bought some AMG Replica's and I am curious if I have to buy another Tire Pressure Monitor? If I do have one if it can be used on the after market wheels or if I don't have one at all? Thanks!

1stBenzo!

The way I understand it, is the Tire Pressure monitor uses the abs/bas sensors and there are no separate sensors inside the wheels.
