comand not starting, black screen after logo
i just got the euro comand plugged in but when i turn it on the logo appears for like 10 seconds but then shuts off to a black screen. This is in a 2006 C230 sedan. Please help!

why do people keep buying euro 203 DVD comands for the US - you do know that it will never navigate you - do you?

ok i don't have any other audio components installed (no cd changer, no factory amp) it's just a audio20 upgrade to comand APS.
If i take out the fiber cables out of the plug, it will work?

ok basically i just disconnect the fiber cable but it was still doing it so i got it programmed at the dealer, works now. The only problem that will be with the Euro comand is you won't have the Navigation or Map function.
Get the MCS!! (US spec)
I got the euro because it was $1100 cheaper

06 COMAND APS - MP3 and Map options
I just got the DVD COMAND unit installed yesterday, is there a way this can play mp3s without the CD changer? The codes to enter the engineering mode doesn't work on this, possibly because it was made in 06? Can the dealer still activate the mp3?
Is there a way i can get just the Map function in this? I've seen one of our members (sunman) do this in his W203

my picture shows a euro comand with a USA map disc. This was back in 2004 with a 2004 disc. This only works on some euro comadn units. No way of telling if it will work on your euro comand. it will NOT work with the 2005 and later discs. It's worthless. Get a USA comand.
