Lip ppl please help

I am just in the process of installing the CF lip on my car. I have an AMG bumber so there shouldn't be any problems, but im not sure about the fitment of it. Here are several pictures showing my dilemma:

The instructions say: the sides have to be flush with the bumber - which is impossible without having a huge gap which i doubt the anchor screws would eliminate

picture1: passenger side - flush with bumber - cutout somewhat fits the form of the side of bumber

picture2: results of pic number 1 - huge gap which I doubt I could eliminate with anchor bolts

picture3: drivers side - the CF cutout seems more like a straight line and doesnt flush at all with the bumper trim - huge gap

picture4: another example of #3

picture5: the only way to somewhat reduce the gap and to pull together with the bumber. but this isnt anywhere close to flush ...

What am I doing wrong? Number 5 cant possibly be the solution to a "perfect fit"

This is not to flame, but I just dont see it work the way I hoped it would.

I don't have the CF lip, but when I installed the Brabus front lip, it was the same deal and I thought there's no way it could fit, but I just used some strength and forced it into place. I guess everything just has to be lined up perfectly and the fitment was meant to be very tight. In my case, it took an extra set of hands (thanks wifey!). I'm sure others can give their experiences w/ the CF lips.

Out of curiosity, is this the CF lip from Neal (Euroteck) or one of the replicas?

Definitely not 3 & 4. 5 is is what mine looks like and I had not fitment problems. Not best pics to see that but all I got online for now. Once you start screwing the bolts in, the gap gets reduce. Follow the instructions, each side 1st, then screw in the middle sections. You will need someone to hold the other side while you work on one side. It will take some pulling but it will get there. Its not a simple line it up & screw it in job. Its a snug fit.

I know you always here it but with the cf lip install do a search. I have the eurotech lip on my 05 c230 ss , read all of the directions first and follow them exactly. Dude, I got my lip two days after having surgery on my leg. I started to try and put it on after looking at it for a week and decided to install it crutches and all. My wife found out and she ALLOWED me to assist her with the install. The side must be flush, the rest falls into place.

no its not a one person job, line up the first corner as instructed, then go to the other side, the last post was correct, you'll have to pull like your life depends on it, once you get done fighting the second corner the rest will fall into place a whole lot easier. I felt the same way, that it wasnt going to fit and my car must be the odd one, trust me it will work. It is just the second corner that is difficult

Thanks for all the help. I put it on yesterday. I needed three people (adults) to stretch that thing so I could line it up somewhat.

Im just glad I didnt lower my car, because then I'd be stuck on the driveway
