It works great, I will post a video of my favorite road and you can tell why braking is importain. I will be taking it to the track this summer for some light fun driving and the stock brakes get to hot. Some people have posted concerns about to much braking in the rear causing an imbalance but I haven't had a problem. Our Porsche has four piston all around. And with it I removed and replaced the restictor valve to the rear brakes to increase brake force to the rear, it works very well. I could not go with the six piston brakes because of clearence with my snow tires and wheels. Now i did notice that Tire Rack has some 18" snow tires availible so maybe I will upgrade. But the 18" wheel has to be a certain type for the brakes to fit.

how does the stationary heater work?
does it draw power from the car battery while the car is off? or does it have its own battery that is recharged when the car is on?
how much heat does it generate (or in other words, how long to warm the car to a comfortable level from say 0 degrees F)?
thanks.

There are various ways of activating the system.
1. You can remotely activate it with the remote control unit. (Telestart)
2. You can press the button on the right of the shifter to start it
3. You can activate it with 3 preprogrammed times in the instrument cluster
The unit will not fire if it’s too hot. Instead it will vent the cabin. The running time can be programmed at the dealer. Usually set to 40 minutes. THe cut off time can be set as well. Usually 11.2 volts to prevent battery discharge.
1/4 fuel in the tank is required since the mounting point of the fuel line for the heater is a little high.
Fuel consumption is very minimal. This is one of the nicest features on my car. It’s a must if you live in cold areas. It’s a bit pricey at around 2000 in parts.
For the lazy people

Fist picture shows interior removed to run harnesses in wire channels. Second picture shows muffler of heater unit hanging down from heater bracket. last pictures shows hoses going to heating unit. DIfficult to see. Perhaps Russ can take a better picture of it.

Thats a very cool mod, for a cold climate.
I love the remote, just click it when you get up in the morning.
From inside the house. No scraping the windshield!
Awesome.
Glad I don't need it though.
I hate the cold...shoveled enough snow when I was a kid...
never goin' back.
