Looking for a black hood badge
I have my hood ornament removed and I have the flat hood badge on. Its blue though. I was at a car show and saw a guy with a BLACK one! I've been looking all over 
and can't find one...any ideas?

Brabus and Carlsson make black emblems. Other than that, you can paint over your flat hood emblem.

I did that with mine----after it faded. I taped the outer edge to leave it chrome and then sprayed it balck and clear coated it. I have a black car so it looks pretty good. And is a bit different than what you normally see

i've been trying to see if i could find the black laurel hood badge.
i've seen one, BRUSHED and CHROME flat hood badge on a CLK55 that was for sale here local.

Sorry---have no pics. Will tell you,you lose some of the detail on the emblem when respraying. But it looks better than a faded blue one

doesn't the SLR McLaren have a black wreath MB badge, instead of blue ???
or was that just the wheel center caps ???

Best thing to do is to attach your pictures to a TEST thread in the TEST section, and then use the URL address of each picture by inserting it into the IMAGES field, when you click on the "Insert Image" button above.
It's a pain in the @$$ but that's what the MBWorld moderators came up with. Why ? I don't know. It still takes up the same amount of space.
But now it's more inconvenient for us, those who actually read the forums.
