Missing driver side speaker

Not sure what happened to it. Maybe someone along the way during service took it or it just fell. I didn't notice till recently. Suggestions on trying to pull or find it?

suppose to be looking like this:

Forgot to add, I'm looking for ideas other than door panel removal. (which I'm afraid might be the only way)

Maybe try sticking a magnet down there somehow? Door panel removal is easy. I did a little tutorial with pics a while back, just search for it.

I'm going try to get a magnet. Just curious, if the speaker is there, how far down could it have gone? I cannot open the door panel since I do not have any tools with me here in FL, but might be the only solution. Thanks Ryan.

If i remember correctly, there are a lot of obstacles that it would have had to hit before reaching the bottom. Most likely its lodged between something. Try a hanger too.

I would suggest a flashlite and a flexible shop mirror first to see if you can locate it. You don't want to accidently damage the membrane when you reach in to pull it out.

I am going to try tomorrow to fish it out. If not, buy some tools.

I ended just prying the side of the door near the hindges open. I found the tweeter just dangling there and operational. I used the DIY on the door by ryanr317 at https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...=134887&page=2

thanks, everything sounds much better!

Good to hear that you got it back. I was just going to add that it can't fall too far.

Glad to be of service! I figured it was still wired so it couldn't have fell too far.
