BTW...You're only 15, so how are you looking to get aftermarket mods before you can even drive the darn thing?
i work at wal-mart for 6.25 an hours and it took all my life time saving to down pay my coupe, and it has no option at all....
so be happy with nice parent bought u a benz that u don't even have to pay a penny on it.
...along with what a dealer quoted me on Service B ($650, this is when I found my trusty mechanic).
As for tuning, there are options out there, but I don't really see a point in getting tuning without any bolt-on mod upgrades. I'd be surprised to see tuning that can make significant gains on a m271 engine w/o any mods.
Regarding tuning a stock vehicle there are many benefits. One being the fact that Mercedes tunes their vehicles VERY conservative from the factory. This means hp/tq gains be achieved by simply tuning for 91 (or even better 93) octane fuel. Also, Powerchip software increases throttle response which makes everyday driving much more enjoyable.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Regarding your car and tuning, you can simply swing by our shop to be tuned, which will take no longer than an hour and a half. Shoot me a PM with your email addy, I can send you more info.

I ran it on Geico (my insurer) and making the Miata the primary vehicles, and reducing the miles on the coupe brought the total to LESS the just the
coupe. Like 300 a year less. So the Miata would pay for itself in 3 years.
Ha! But, I waited to long, the friend decided to keep the car. I mean, there's nothing wrong with it! I shoulda moved on that one.
Oh well. I have 100/300/100 so yeah, it costs a little more, but there's a lot of 100K + vehicles around here in the bay area.
I ran various senario's on the website. With 1000 collision deductible the price went up!
ike that.
The COC loves the Coupe...
I'm 34, going on 18. Because you know, that mid 30 is the new 18.
Sheez, I too worry about a major systems failure. Especially, if it was something related to the BUS, or CAN systems in the car. I mean, mechanically, I feel comfortable with the car. But electrically, I have no F-ing clue.
My insurance is....$130 a month, with good driver discount. But I think I have a minimum coverage. Does 25k/50k with uninsured sound right? I buy for 20k miles a yr.
So I'm paying $1572 a yr. Funny thing is, I am adding a 83 X1/9 to my policy. It is only going to be an extra $84 a yr with 5k miles
