Change the header....(have you looked at that thing)
rip out the engine and make it a C111 (that is my plan in several years) LOOK IT UP!
When ever it is due for a repair just upgrade!
best wishes,
Bryan
And using words like 'dere' 'i' or 'da' makes you look like a little kid or someone that has no command of the English language...short forms are one thing but you are hardly saving any keystrokes using those words

Second, I suggest you go through the Aftermarket / DIY sticky:

Third, I suggest you try an advanced search and highlight the w203 forum. Some key words to use: Headers, Pulley Kit, m271, exhaust, bored throttle body, tuning:

i work at wal-mart for 6.25 an hours and it took all my life time saving to down pay my coupe, and it has no option at all....
so be happy with nice parent bought u a benz that u don't even have to pay a penny on it.

Honestly, there are mods you can make. Some people are making progress on a bolt on and tuning solution for the M271 engine. I'm real excited for them.
I think it includes boring your throttle body, new injectors and tuning.
Thus far, no one that I know of has ported the M271 S/C. There could be some horses there.
You could also go with a header. One of these boards had a group buy.
Honestly, good luck with it. Largely right now, I would get comfortable with the car, maybe buy some air freshner so the next girl doesnt smell the girl from the day before....
Learn the systems of the car, the fluids, etc. Parts are terrible expensive for our cars.

BTW, I don't see where he mentions the year of his car, but y'all keep sending him to search for M271.
Kid, if you have a 2002, search on M111, or better yet, ASP Pulley (adds 30HP for about $700 with tax and shipping, then + install)
If you're past 2002, more performance comes at a higher cost.
Get some AMG sway bars for $200. You'll like that. Easy to bolt on.
Major difference in how the car drives.
Man if I was 16 or 17 I'd be scared as hell of the maint. costs.
Hope you got a warranty. Someone say Highway 9? Ha, I used to commute from Ben Lomond on the the other side of 9, down Skyline to Redwood City...
it sucked having such a long commute, but man, I'd be the only one on the road, hauling ASS_! The AMG brakes really got to strut there stuff during that time.
Ha, I love that newbie video...watched it again for the thousanth time...

I am in my mid 40's making a great salary ($100K+) and am terrified of the costs if something should go wrong. Not sure how those part-timing at Wal-mart can afford to run such a car. Purchase cost is one thing, it is the maintenance and repairs that will kill you.

I pay something like 1500 a year, in my 40's with no tickets...(100/300)
They must pay 3-5K a year or something, or just have the bare minimum policy,
which with only 5K property damage won't cover the cost of a bumper on a Ford Focus these days.

Many customers go with exhaust but keep in mind exhaust will set you back $1000+ and will gain no more than 10rwhp. That equates to about $100 per horsepower. Tuning will cost you about $35 per horsepower.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

As for tuning, there are options out there, but I don't really see a point in getting tuning without any bolt-on mod upgrades. I'd be surprised to see tuning that can make significant gains on a m271 engine w/o any mods.

The COC loves the Coupe...
I'm 34, going on 18. Because you know, that mid 30 is the new 18.
Sheez, I too worry about a major systems failure. Especially, if it was something related to the BUS, or CAN systems in the car. I mean, mechanically, I feel comfortable with the car. But electrically, I have no F-ing clue.
My insurance is....$130 a month, with good driver discount. But I think I have a minimum coverage. Does 25k/50k with uninsured sound right? I buy for 20k miles a yr.
So I'm paying $1572 a yr. Funny thing is, I am adding a 83 X1/9 to my policy. It is only going to be an extra $84 a yr with 5k miles
