Carlos,

Does the euro BIX have a different light pattern that the US version? If so, have you had any issues?

it is very subtle, hardly noticeable.
I posted all 3 light patterns a very long time ago in one of my threads (US, Euro, & UK). The Euro & US are very similar. Haven't had any issues at all with them. They work perfectly ! I think Steve (MBenzNL) also had pictures of the Euro, US, & UK light patterns on his web site.

Yes,
the city bulbs I replaced with NAVIGATOR "Cyber White" City Lights.
Got mine from MB Werks (Autowerks Direct) in San Diego. $15

The turn signals are European version blue bulb, but blink amber.
Very similar to the SYLVANIA "Silver Stars".

and the fog-lights are the 2005 AMG SL55/E55 R230/W211 Clear fog lights.

Hey CARLOS, your high beams (or max ligths, I don't know How its says in english) are yellow than the medium ligths?
My medium ligths are white like the cameras flashs, but when I turn the max ligths, they are a little yellow,is this normal? My fathers Audi BIX are all the same collor

Thank you Gaiex, for the information. I think I will have Steve bring some with him on his next trip to California.

Regarding the high beams, versus regular beams, I will have to check tonight when it gets dark. I know the high beams on Bi-Xenons are actually halogens, so you may be right, in that they are a bit more YELLOW than the regular white light.

I will post later tonight.

you can replace the high beams (since they are halogens) with SilverStarz or PIAA Extreme White Plus for a more HID high beam look; white instead of so much yellow

WOW, Gaiex, your car looks sensational with the new lamps. HID are just plain better, and your car is one of the nicest I seen in Portugal.

I am so jealous, my car has to park on plain concrete, but you park yours on very nice tile. The floor in your garage looks better than my kitchen!

Osram owns the Sylvania brand name, but they won't sell the inovative European lamps in the US because FMVSS 108 discourages improvements to protect the dinosaur lamp manufacturing business in the US. Europe was riding around with halogen lamps for 15 or 20 years before they were legal in the states. The rules in 108 for HID lamps are designed to make US DOT certified lamps slightly different from EU spec's to stifle trade.

Favorite mod? Definately any sound system update, since the standard (and even the BOSE) just doesn't do it for most of the people I've asked. Plus, it's as complex and expensive as you want it to be, unlike most typical mods, which have more fixed (and high) costs. Orthopedic seats come in a close second, because of the associated cost and the fact that very few people have done such a mod (sunman!).
