I have the car up on jack stands and I've tried from above and below, there's just no room for leverage. Buell, Vadim, et al, how the hell did you get that damn thing off?!?!?!?!?

P.S. Sorry - didn't read your previous post.

Job finished, all tolled it took about 8 hours, but that's largely because of the lack of some key tools, had to run to the parts store several times. Getting the old pulley off took at least an hour to an hour and a half, less than 10 minutes once I had a flat prybar.
When I started the car I got a message saying ESP was not available. Is this because of disconnecting the battery? What do I have to do to "reset' it. I know about resynching the windows, headrests, sunroof, etc., but what about ESP?
I don't recall reading any posts about people getting that message.

jeff: From what I have gathered the only time the car will run lean will be at WOT. People please correct me if I am wrong. thats maybe 5% of the time.
I have 2 dealers in town. Hendrick, where I bought car and get it serviced. and Beck Imports. I get the little stuff done there, fuel settings, alarm beep, audio settings etc. costs about 5 bucks a piece to have a setting changed. No biggy.

So i had an appointment today at the dealership to install a new air filter sensor (or something like that). My technician is great and very helpful, but when I asked about changing fuel settings to stage 2, he told me that it's "absolutely illegal". I tried to explain to him all that I know, and he kept telling me that it was illegal. Really confused now. Anyway, I plan on putting in the pulley tomorrow. Looks like C230Jeff had some problems so I'm setting out a nice chunck of time to get the job done. I also had my tech change the sensitivity for the bose sound. He reduced it to 3 dps as recommended in previous threads. I can definitely hear a difference. The sound doesn't drop a ton when stopped at a light with the windows down now. I'll let you all know how the pulley turns out.
