C230K Coupe ? which is the better engine 1.8 or 2.3?

I saw/heard your youtube video.
MORE!!!
Anything I do to my car just results in less AF ration.
Please tel Jose to make M111 FI injector kit!!
Your engine sounded like a freakin' race car, but you have much more invested than me in engine mods. I'd guess, 5K? Just in the engine.
So I really was able to drive the car
Not at all impressed with the power or the autotrans. The autotrans was nothing like my ml430. But I must factor in its a small 4cyl with a supercharger (slight lag).
Where I live that auto trans would be a pain trying to get up these WVA mountains.
Normal driving the car was great. But any attempts to pass or increase speed and the torque was just not there.

This is the first time I spun the tires through a right turn so much that the ESP completely stopped one tire and the car almost came to a complete stop!...LOL. And I barely had my foot on the accelerator.
I have a good amount invested, but really, it's the shop. I can't say enough good things about those guys and what they've done with my car. It's still going in for more testing for them, but I'm gonna enjoy the time I have the car back until I give it back to them. Once everything is done, I'm sure I'll have more pics, more vids, etc...
. I've never seen a v4 before. Can you show one to me?

I just added some videos of the sound w/ some performance mods and the Kleemann Trapezoid Muffler.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
To this day, I've never seen a V shaped engine that small. V6, v8 v12 even, but never a V4. So again, i ask, would you please show me how it went from being an Inline-4 engine to a V shaped engine?

Now that I've said that, please don't mis-inform people of what the engine is not. If it were a V4, it would be the 1st that I've ever seen in the world and I wouldn't even touch it with aftermarket mofications.

Also some industrial applications use the V4 configuration (often Diesels). Old Volkswagens, and many Subarus use horizontally-opposed 4 cylinder configurations (boxer). Otherwise, most automotive applications use the inline 4 cylinder.
Back to the original topic. Although the M271 is a smaller engine (than the M111), it is also a smoother engine. I also like the sound of it better. Long term durability remains an unknown. It continues in many parts of the world as the C180K and the C200K.

Ours, is definitely not a v-shape engine. There are pics of the m271 engine somewhere on this forum. I can't find the link, but if you look at the shape of the m271, it is definitely an inline shape.
R4? Dude, stop making stuff up. Maybe I'm right? Seriously, you're gonna confuse peeps who don't know much about anything when it comes to cars (especially ours). And since you don't seem to know much either, that becomes mis-information.Please read these links and brush up on your knowledge. When you've learned enough, then MAYBE you can start putting in your $.02 about what components are on the car. Until then, I suggest you start reading and learning.

What does the Kleeman muffler run? Dollars wise?
I really hope you can come up with a kit.
I'd really like to pick up a 2005 coupe as my next car.
OK, I really really like these little Benz coupes.
I forget which car reviewer I read,
"the nicest compact car money can buy" and at the time, they really liked the coupe but considered it expensive.
Which is a joke now with VW crap selling for 25K at the lowest level.
I knew people in the 80's who paid that much for a Toyota 4runner.
Kleemann Trapezoid muffler is $765 retail, I think (can't remember off the top of my head). You can contact them to find out.

Even a Remus is listed as being about that price these days.
Glad I picked one up used for 200 bucks!!
And I have Supersprint headers waiting to be installed....

30K miles, for less than 15 grand the other day...
bet he could be talked down.
Wish I bought Terry's car!!!
