I was about to call on your behalf! See, the shady things they do just to make a quick buck.

Anyways, I'm glad you got the refund. Not that $75 is a whole lot, but it's enough to get a Euro trunklid , so it's definitely all a matter of perspective.

Exactly Drex. It wasn't the money as 75.00 isnt going to make or break me. It was the principle. I can only imagine how many other people they have pulled that stunt on. It turns out the install takes 15 minutes. That would be .25 of an hour and should be charged at that rate. Not 100% of an hour's labor. Pfft as if.

Yup. It's funny because early on when I bought my car, another dealership I used to go to tried to do a similar thing to me. Except, they put it on the actual Estimate Invoice (when I first dropped the car off). I automatically questioned it before I left the lot with the rental car and they told me, "Oh, don't worry. We're required to put a cost estimate down first, but it will be covered 100% under warranty."

I left the lot thinking everything would be okay. When my car was ready, the cashier asked for my credit card and I had to wait for my service advisor to clear it up! (Wasted 1 hour waiting for my Service Advisor to get in). Needless to say, I never went back to that dealership for service ever again.
