Where is the oil filter on a 2002 C230K? On top of the engine under a shroud? If so, which one and how hard is it to remove these shrouds? I know I have free service for 4 yr but I am planning for beyond warranty work. The "topside" oil change appears fairly simple if you have a vacuum device-any recommendations for this piece of equipment? Thanks.

Do a search. We've been here already and posted some nice pictures. The front driver's side shroud has to come off. Just pull it up.
