they are inserted into the side skirt. My understanding is you have to drill some holes to get them put in. Then they are obviously all linked to a switch which activates the lights.

They aren't in the sideskirt they are in the plasic underbody covering. You need to drill holes for them and then run power and ground. Power to the battery and ground to your dome light. This way they will go on when you unlock your car.

On the s-tail comment ! You dont get slammed for changing your tail lights, for one, these tails are made for this car "w203" not making it an s-clone seeing as isnt close to being one, or s drivers would post in our forum, nor is it impersonating a s-class.

now regarding that "evo" you mention .... putting an AMG badge to a NON amg mercedes ... is to putting an MR badge on a regular EVO 8 ....
dont matter what you drive, it all comes down to opening up to hood and showing people what you DONT have ....

S-Class tails actually cost upwards of $100. Any 10 year old can go to a pawn shop and buy an AMG Badge with his lunch money.

Most everyone here is an enthusiast. We love our Mercede for the way they feel, sound, look and go. Those of us with AMG's or non-AMG's love the way they perform, too. You won't find huge numbers of gang-banger, tatoo'ed posers here. There are other forums out there to fill that niche.
My suggestion is: take the quiet exit. The damage is done already. If not, study and know who you are hanging out with.
