Noise coming from front wheel

I installed my new rims a few months ago, around December of last year. I had been hearing a noise from the rear, a metal on metal type of sound. I resolved that issue by using shorter lug bolts as the stock ones were too long and were rubbing in what i think was the parking brake. I am getting a sound from the front as well which i still have not resolved. I can't see anything that could be rubbing. It gets faster as the wheel turns and it too is a metal on metal type of sound. I think it may have gotten worse since the installation of my new rotors. Any ideas as to what could be the cause? I hear it coming from the driver's side because i am next to it but i'm not sure if it is coming from the passenger side as well.

Take the wheel and rotor off and look for evidence of the problem, like a groove worn in or a shiny spot from rubbing.

I took the wheel off a few times but couldn't see anything with the naked eye. I did spin the front wheel when the car was jacked up though. It did make a similar noise when i turned it but i could not see anything rubbing. Is is possible that the rotor could have a very slight warp? I didn't think so as i don't feel any vibration when i apply the brakes. I still have to try removing the rotor.

There's noise but i don't think it has to do anything with the wheels. I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the rotor. I'll have to take it off and do some further investigation.

Is it possible for the front bolts to be too long now? I am still using the stock bolts in front. I only changed the rears.

its your e-brake springs that was making the noise before.. it happened to me just a week ago.. the front should be fine however i dont recommend using the oem bolts.. just get the right lug nuts for your peace of mind.. trust me....... I KNOW... hehe

Yea i read about your ordeal. I know the back was because of the e-brake but i could'nt figure out the front. I guess i'll try shorter bolts and see what happens.

happened to me once when i change my wheels from winter to summer setup, i suggest you take out the bolts and check the length, usually the front are shorter, and the rear ones can be little longer, it's possible that your bolts are too long and rubbing the front rotor, be sure to solve it asap or else it can cause further damage

yeah just do that, just to be on the safe side. My mechanic said it should be a problem but he didnt let me drive off without changing it too. Lugbolts are not that pricey not is it?
