Mtec kit is very good, get the Depo Projector, it looks nice, but the beam pattern sucks, Mtec is around $300, the Depo is about $350.
You can always buy the best, for $1350 you can get a pair OEM euro spec Bi Xenon headlight from Steve.

Noobie posting again
I'm looking to get HID's on my '06 c230 and I would like to know a few things after I came up with little useful information in my search
1. First of all I got the car with out the Bi-xenon option =[, if I were to install an HID kit to my car would there be any risk in burning anything(wiring, housing, etc..? or is that all dependent on the bulb?
2. Obviously I don't have a projector housing, but will it look okay without one?
Thanks for the help, and sorry if my lingo is incorrect.. I'm trying to get used to it!

Warning on computer after HID's installed
I know this has been rehashed many times on this board. I just can't seem to find the solution.
Getting the following malfunction "low beam right and left check" ever since xenon HID's were installed.. it goes away after awhile and never comes back and is just a down right annoyance.
Dealer says it's aftermarket and didn't bother to do anything bout it. what can I do?.. heard bout some resistor being inserted or computer program. any ideas guys? (and girls)

Folks: I had clear version headlights from a newer model. A friend helped me trimming the black covers. Unfortunately, I damaged the MTEC HID ballast accidentally (passenger side), so I was sure it woudn't cover by the warranty. My friend lent me his BMW Pro lumen slim ballast with separate ignitor and guess what? it works. The only problem is the lights flickering once only then steadily on. There is no warning message appears. Now, I have MTEC on the driver side and ProLumen on the passenger side. I'll take some photos and post it here if any of you interested to see. I know it's not important for most... :-) ............

We have all HID bulb temperatures and numbers in stock. The brightest fogs will be 3000-4300k, though I doubt they will match your headlights. Do you recall what bulb temperature your headlights run? I believe it's a 4300k.
Shoot me a message or call if you have any questions, I'm here to help.

How to have Xenon set for FREE
so, during my lunch break I called few dealers to see if they can set my xenon to present for me, most of the dealer had no idea what I was talking about so I told them I need to have it hook up to star machine to change the xenon to present. I got qoute from $100 to $150 to do that, until I talked to one of the service adviser from Fletcher Jones.
He said if it's something easy that they can do on the drive lane then it's free.
My advise for you guys to get it done free.
1.Print these pictures out, these pictures are from sticky
2. Don't even bother calling any dealer.
3. Just drive in and park in the drive lane (waiting for service lane)
3. when they ask you what you want to do, just say you want to see a Drive In Technician
4. when the drive technician comes, just show you the pictures above and said you want to set xenon to present.
5. technician should be able to just go get the star machine and update that for you right away.
This shouldn't take more than 5 mins.
this way, you'll have it done for free.
if you call and make appt, they'll prob take the car in and change you for that, there should be a drive in tech in every dealer.
and if do plan to put aftermarket HID on (regardless if it's gonna throw error or not), I would advise that you get it set to xenon present before you put the kit in, this will save you some trouble later on. Cause if you put aftermarket HID, some dealers will not want to set it for you.
So, just go have it set to xenon and tell the drive in tech you plan to get xenon later on.

went to the stealership here in sugarland, they have buch of idoits working there. The tech wanted to charge 150 and said it would take more than 30 mins. He also wanted to argue that they cant do it until the xenons are install but I know that you can do it before. I told him bs and went inside to find out how much a side marker socket and license light lens covers. She acted like she never heard of license plate lights and then was shocked that it needed two. I called for the covers last friday and a guy answer, also not knowing what I was talking bout and said they dont carry anything like that. Even though she wasnt very bright, she was nice and was able to find both parts for me.
