2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 8K HID's Low Beam & Fog Lights
Bought LED city light to match my HID's

I bought a pair of LED city lights to match my HID's cause the stock's ones look yellow and they look horrible, don't like them. The next upgrade will be the License Plate Lights, change those to Blue LED's just like the Lexus. I will post pic. when i get them.

Website---http://cgi.ebay.com/2pcs-T10-501-194...ayphotohosting

I bought these lights at Advace Auto Parts. They last it about a week and then they lost the color, now they look just like the stock ones.
\

These are the LED's that i bought and i hope they do the work.

the city lights might not fit, the hole for the bulbs is quite narrow.

good luck with your license plate lights.

The city lights might work without resistors without tripping the bulb-out warning.

The license plate lights will most likely trip the bulb-out warning, flicker, and then burn out.

Again, I really do hope they work for you, but we've seen time and time again that most products don't work on the W203.

I'm pretty sure I saw a thread that talks about LED city lights that dont need resistors or throw up codes; and I believe the Hoen license plate bulbs are the best and don't throw codes either

The Hoen's don't throw codes but one burned out on me. Maybe it was bad luck. The color isn't quiiiite on par with LED either.

Hopefully it does work, cause im making some changes to the car, make it look different "unique" but anything we do to these cars, either it will not work or it will but you'll have a lot of problems.

Kinda pricey but everything is pricey if you own a Mercedes or BMW. I will have to see if the ones i bought work or make it work, if not then i will have to buy these then. Thank you though

Nothing will work reliably without resistors. You basically have to take your whole trunklid apart to put them in.

It's ok. I went completely off the deep end and surgically inserted some CCFL's.

hoen bulbs are not going to be much different from regular bulbs for you license plate. they just light up soft white. there are many people who have done the LED license plate mod; it's very simple, all you need is some 99c resistors and some bulbs from autolumination. and the LED citys will work, you can look for ebay seller sixity or the other one that other members recommend. LOL, it's not going to be as unique as you think; i have blue LED city lights and LED license plate lights.

So if Hoen's don't really make a difference, I guess I have to get LED's if I want that look.....right?

i wlll take a better pic over the weekend!

I haven't seen these before so I don't know for sure. Some of these guys test on a BMW and automatically think it will work for MB. Maybe worth a shot but I wouldn't be suprised if it didn't work.

you only replaced the license plate lights....right?

You are tempting me into doing this. What would I have to do to make LED's work?

thanks
