These thread seem to go on forever but usually die out in a week or two. The group buys usually fizzles out when 20 people want it but only 2 actually buy. Many claim that the bulbs last for 5,000 hours. At this time the bulbs are expensive at about $100 each. My guess is that by the time the bulbs burn out they will be the standard on all cars and Pep Boys will have them for what Halogens sell for now.
I hope one of these answers your question.

Ahahahah. That was funny Buellwinkle. Jorel, they should last a long time. It all depends on how much you use the lights. If you drive with them all 24/7 then i dunno. Hehe. Anyways, the purplish stand out. If you want to keep it nice and matched get the bluish. If you dont care and want people to notice your lights get the purplish ones. Everyone notices mine. LOL! I like it a lot. Right now a few of my friends want it because they saw it on my car and they liked it so much. Get it Jorel. This is a good deal and you will like them.

Its just your low beams and the bluish will look like that. I just found out that this is just like the stage2 kits from HIDS4LEss. Sylvania did a test and said this is basicallythe same kit. The ballasts are the same type. Thought I would share that with you.

Installing Xenon Headlights on a Coupe...
I got my HIDs from BrabusCclass, group buy. It was a pleasure doing business with him, everything went perfectly, thanks a lot man.
I went to a shop to install my HIDs, and I had a few problems.
First the ballasts (I dont know how you really call them, the part that has the bulb attached to it, black or metallic, Sockate in spanish) is different than the stock one, and they told me it would not fit, exept if I glue them. I want to ask you guys, did your ballast fit perfectly? (the stock one is a metallic piece that has 2 little things, you twist them and it fits perfectly, the aftermarket one doesnt), so what should I do?
Also they told me I had to install them in the High beams (I wanted to install them in the low beams, bigger circle of headlight), but they say thats impossible because the lights are only for high beams, since they have 2 cables (high), instead of 3 cables, used for high/low beams... I dont know anything about this, So I wanted to ask you guys if its possible to install the HIDs in the bigger circle of the headlight.
thanks,
PS: Im sorry about spelling, english is my 2nd languaje...

it takes some work but the lights will fit in that little twist thing mb designed, it is kinda tricky due to the enclosed area your looking into.
As far as having to install them as hi beams, that a load of *****, they can and do work fine in low beam. Go to a different shop, or take the day off and play with em yourself. while i was incapable of doing it myself, it doesnt mean its impossible by any standard.

Check this thread - it has more than enough information on the subject.

I just installed them on my friends car and they are simple. Wow can I say easy. The only thing that takes time is hiding all the wires. I will install them on another persons C240 next week and I will take pictures. Sorry you are having problems with the install. Tell that shop there is NO cutting required. It is just plug and play. The wires are all colored you just match them, the red to the red, the blue to the blue, the green to the green and the yellow to the yellow. Very easy to do. Please take it to another shop. And sit tight because I will have pics of another install up.

alarm?
my lights are up and running!!! MB of princeton gladly changed the light setting, no problems, no questions asked, 19 bucks for the change.

if you don't change the computer's light settings to xenons=present, your hids will not work. an error message will pop up and the lights will turn off.
there is a work around, but it is easier to get the settings changed.
---
i like vadim's suggestion, and some day, i will make an effort to change my lights around too. depends on if the new 2003 bi-level xenons can be retrofitted to the 2002 models.

hid for less kits
This is directed to those who bought the hidforless.com kits... or someone like "Young " who has fought in the battle of the lights.-----
#1.
Did some one on the board say that hidforless.com has come out with a bypass part to avoid the dreaded return to the dealer to get the computer reset?
#2.
With the hidforless kits, are there highbeams or not?
