Successfully added stock changer CD Changer C320!!
If any of you are having a problem adding a stock optical MBZ CD changer to a newer C-Class, let me know and I'll upload the basic tricks and parts needed or PM whoever needs it. After the dealer telling me it was hopeless, not possible, and two stereo shops suggesting I scrap the idea and all the Bose components to add and after-market system, I finally got it straightened out. The main thing is to get the right "splittable" optical cable from MBZ, only about $25. Now the changer I bought (used on eBay) does skip more than it should, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the install, it's just a laser in need of replacement I think. When I use the CD laser cleaner disc it usually fixes it for about 2 or three days. If anyone has repaired this occasional skipping let me know. Thanks.

should be on both sides of the changer and should be set depending on how
you mount the changer. am guessing you're using MC3010 D2B compliant changer

Welcome to 2002. Check to see that its mounted solidly. Some people just set it in, or use velcro-the extra movement will make it skip.

X2, It should be marked V for vertical installation, and H in your case, for horizontal installation.
