Even if u are not getting stuff installed and want to come for the ride and just to meet and greet, I think that would be a good ideal, just add ur self and beside ur name just put (for the drive) or something like that, and come join us for the drive and meet the ppl, it might be a good idea to meet the ppl in seattle and have a joint meet, so the next time we have a meet in Vancouver they can drive down and join us here in our meets.

So i think we can make this another meet, just in this meet we will have things installed. and a long drive on the US highways, which are apparently a lot better then what we have here.

Might be nice to meet in Surrey somewhere, then we can take the Peach Arch border crossing and hit the I-5. Maybe Surrey Central mall?

or some place that is more accessable and centered to everyone coming from Vancouver or Richmond
So the Save on food / Shoppers paring lot at Nordal and Scott may be better. its a big parking lot and there is a Tim-Hortons in the same parking lot. and then we all drive down to King george highway and take off to the borders and we can change prom the peace arch to the truck border depending on the rush that morning.
KEEP IN MIND THAT; THAT WEEKEND IS A LONG WEEKEND AND ITS GOING TO BE REALLY BUSY. (also try to budget time, just in case we get stop and the US customs what to search our cars)

So going along with 14 CUE we need to leave really early so we are not stuck in line-up for hours. So we should plan to be at the border no later then 7:30 because it will get busy (trust me i have been across the border many time and the line-up will be big)

All good points. Save On Foods parking lot sounds like a good place... here's a link to a Google Map:

Google Map Link

In case you're not familiar with Surrey, Nordel Way is AKA 88 Ave, Scott Rd is AKA 120 St. What time should we be there to be ready to head to the border?

NEXUS pass ownz you. Try out abbotsford crossing, never a line. Also don't tell the border guy you will be installing stuff in your cars!

Make sure not to speed to much on I-5, that is the most heavily patrolled hwy I have ever seen! I was pulled over for 68 mph in a 60 zone.

That might not be a bad idea but its a longer drive that way and then u need to drive through Bellingham, which can just add more time to the drive, but if we are running late then the Aldergrove border will be a better option. thanks for the tip that could be a nice back up plan since i expect us to be running late
I agree dont tell the Customs at the border that you are going to get things installed in ur car. Just say ur going for a Day of shopping or something along that line.

I dont think we are going to meet again in the States, we are just going to drive right up to the door. But we will most likely stop to get Gas and maybe a bite to eat. Since ur coming North and we are heading South, its going to be kinda hard to set up a meet before to head down to his sisters place, so I think it will be better if we just meet at their house.

No problem, I understand. So, what time do you guys from up north expect to arrive at Sunman's sister's house?

its about 1.5 hours drive after u cross the border, so it all depends on when we can make it across the border.

.
obviously we are not going to say we are getting things installed...saying shopping might be a good idea assuming we dun get stucked together ....customs might find weird with 6-7 identical car models going thru customs together

where is sunil's place? anyone can pm me the location?

i reject the idea of going thru abbotsford, let's just go thru either pacific/peach arch...I do not find the extra drive worthwhile even if there is line up...obviously that depends on everyone but i do not think we will be saving much time by going thru the extra drive anyway

i will get the address soon. still waiting on sunil for that.

we can tell them we are going to a meet in seattle with some forum members. just tell them we are all meeting at the space needle or something. not a big deal. someone told me he's gone through many times with modded cars when they attended shows in seattle.
